This not only contributes to the wellbeing of the patient but is an integral ethic in the occupation profession. This evaluation is valuable to the health providers and physicians to ascertain the health condition of the patient.

Occupational Therapists work with different client or patients of different age groups and kinds of people; they include the children and youth, healthy living, mentally ill, aging, the disabled and rehabs, and those in employment. For children therapists assist students to become achievers in academics and social life. The educational requirements for being an occupational therapist are shifting from a bachelor’s degree to a master’s. The students must have also completed an accredited educational program and excel in the national certification test to be awarded a license. Its most unique characteristic is to draw experience from a variety of backgrounds and fields. It incorporates both science and art to bring out change in people’s lives which makes them restores them to a better life.

The interest based on disabled patients was a new concept as the internet research revealed extensive methods to help the disabled live a fulfilling and complete. Occupational therapy is all about changing lives and the issue of disability helps bring a clear conscience on anyone that helps them. It never occurred to me that this profession is well paying, but statistics have proven that once one gets the accreditation and license as stipulated in law then one can achieve financially as well as career wise.
