Suppressing dissent is probably one of the hardest things to do. This is because of the fact that one has to suppress not just what's on the mind, opinion and thoughts but rather to actually suppress the expressions. It is important to note that people have different views on all things though there are some agreement as well. But then again there are really factors that could affect the expression of dissent. The ability to support the position really matters a lot. If one has limited acceptable reasoning it will definitely affect the presentation. People cannot pose a certain claim only to left it hanging off the cliff. It has to be supported not just by opinions but must also be based on facts and not merely on emotions.
The essay on capital punishment is not really affected by emotions but rather focused on facts. Research is important. Any writer of any essay topic or field of study is essential to get going. In giving out dissent, the fact that reasons are given does not suppress dissent. Rather, it gives off strong points and ideas as to why a dissent is needed. Everything should be founded on some solid facts.
People know that there are many misleading information that is scattered all over the Internet, television, radio and even in the print industry. But then again, it can be said that the act of suppressing dissent especially in political topics and agenda has been increasing by the hour. Because of this, with every information being released people are expecting that objections from the recipients are just around the corner and waiting to strike (Boykoff, 2006). It is in the manner of protecting the interest of some privilege people that dissents are being suppressed regardless of whether or not they have been founded with facts and not just about passion and emotions.
